Sewing Skills: Zippers

Are you ready to tackle zippers in pants and other sewing projects but you'd like a little primer first?

This class covers one way to sew a zipper fly into a pair of pants. We'll go over everything step by step and you'll sew an example zipper fly that you can keep for future reference. Sometimes just getting your head wrapped around the mechanics of the sewing process of a zipper helps and you'll feel more confident as you start your other projects.

We'll also insert a zipper into a little cloth bag. This straightforward technique is the basis of adding a zipper to the side or back of a dress or shirt, or even the waistband of a pair of pants.

Please bring:

Your machine

A zipper foot

Two zippers (7-8 inches each)

A half meter of material, cotton is best.
