Intro to Sewing - Sweater Edition! (Four 1.5 hour classes)

A four week class dedicated to beginners. We'll learn a bit about different fabrics, match fabric to pattern, learn how to read a pattern and actually sew a cozy sweater just in time for the leaves to change colour.

Class 1: Choose your pattern & fabric, cut out pattern

2: Cutting your fabric, grainlines & notches

3: Pattern reading, sewing & adjustments

4: Finishing touches

We'll be making the Jarrah Sweater by Megan Nielsen (sizes 0-30). This sweater comes with a ton of options, a fun tie detail, or curved hem, funnel neck or classic bands. You’ll be able to choose your view for this class so your sweater is perfectly your style and ready to wear in front of the fire this coming winter.

Students must provide their own sewing machine.
