Are you ready to take another step in your sewing practice by inserting zippers, but you'd like a little primer first?
In this class we’ll be making a small lined zippered pouch, the perfect size for carrying your essentials, stuffing with chocolate as a gift or keeping your items organized in a larger bag. Sometimes just getting your head wrapped around the mechanics of the sewing process of a zipper helps and you'll feel more confident as you start your other projects.
We'll be using a pattern from PattyDoo designs called the Geo Bag. This fun and unique looking bag is an easy sew with lots of style. It's a free pattern, and you can check out the GeoBag hashtag on Instagram.
This straightforward technique is the basis of adding a zipper to the side or back of a dress or shirt, or the waistband of a pair of pants.
