I have four kids and don’t get me wrong, I don’t make all their clothes. In fact, hand-me-downs and thrifting take care of most of their clothing needs. But I really enjoy making them something special sometimes, especially those fun holiday pajamas!

This class is all about sewing for your little (or not so little) ones. We’re going to talk about:

  • Tips on directional prints

  • Tips on fabric choices for longevity

  • Fabric retailers

  • Freebie patterns that will keep them clothed for years

  • Tips on how to keep those knees from wearing through (spoiler, add a double patch right off the bat)

These are the patterns we’ll be making: The Ringer Tee and the Bummies. They are FREE, easy to sew and fit and so comfortable to wear.

Please bring:

  • The assembled pattern cut to your child’s size

  • Fabric as recommended

  • Elastic as recommended

  • Your sewing machine

This pattern is unisex and you can happily sew for any of your kids.

This class is wheelchair accessible! Please email me if you need an accomodation and I will work it out. Every class happens in Treaty 1 territory, the traditional lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.
